Army Hearing Program
Mission
To maximize hearing and communication thus contributing to survivability, lethality, mission effectiveness and quality of life through four distinct yet overlapping pillars: Hearing Readiness, Clinical Hearing Services, Operational Hearing Services and Hearing Conservation.
Vision
Promote early detection and identification of changes in hearing, provide education on hearing protection, the effects of noise, hearing loss, and prevention of hearing loss before it occurs according to DA PAM 40-501, DODI 6055.12, and AR 40-5.

Clinical hearing services are performed for noise-exposed DoD Civilians as part of the Army Hearing Conservation Program at Occupational Health and should call 762-408-1418.
Operational hearing services
Noise assessment and abatement strategies, improved communication, and the use of specialized hearing protection devices, such as electronic hearing protection designed to maintain auditory situational awareness in military operations.
Hearing Conservation
Industrial-focused and is instrumental in preventing NIHL in primarily fixed-facility work environments. Hearing conservation efforts are conducted in support of both the Civilian workforce and Soldiers working in industrial-based settings.
